On January 1, 2016, I set my goal for the year at 1000 miles. In 2015 I ran just over 800 miles so 1000 was a stretch goal. At the time I hadn’t planned on training for a marathon but mid-year I decided to register for the Detroit Free Press Marathon. The increased mileage of marathon training has taken my weekly mileage up from 20 to approximately 50. So I’m happy to say that this week I reached my 2016 goal of 1000 miles!
And I’m not done yet.
