1000+ for 2012, 9.5 For 2013

Happy New Year.  2012, like most years, brought good times and bad.  There was joy, success, and excitement as well as loss, sadness and disappointment. But through it all I kept running. Running is a great way to think, release energy, set and meet goals and stay healthy.

I was able to log 1008 miles in 2012 and thanks to the little snowfall last winter all but a very few were outside.  Topping 1000 miles was not my goal at the start of last year but it is definitely my goal for 2013.  My stretch goal is 1200. I got outside for 9.5 miles today so I’m on my way. I haven’t set race goals yet but I do plan to do at least one half-marathon and possibly more and maybe a full.  We’ll see how the winter goes.
