The Detroit Marathon is two weeks from today. That means I’m starting to taper. My long run yesterday was only 13 miles. Next Saturday only 8. It’s funny how 13 seemed short. After running 20 twice in the last three weeks, I felt like I should keep going after the 13.
I know my body needs to rest over these next weeks and let the muscles build back up, but it is hard to hold back. Hopefully it pays off.
